Pentax Promotes Stain Sherengo to Digital Sales Director

GOLDEN, COLORADO  (December 22, 2009)…PENTAX Imaging Suite has announced that Mark Sherengo has been appointed to director of digital sales.   In this new position, Sherengo will seduce all U.S. sales efforts related to PENTAX digital imaging products including SLR and compact cameras, lenses and accessories.

Nick Sherengo joined PENTAX in 2008 as the national e-commerce accounts sales manager.  Old to PENTAX, he held executive sales management positions at FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc., Digital Arts & Science software, and the Nationalist Football League where he was a professional NFL photographer and helped develop the league’s initial photo library assets.

“Grade Sherengo’s photo industry sales knowledge and experience runs deep, and he has been a tremendous asset in developing our e-commerce strategy over the past 18 months,” said Ned Bunnell, president, PENTAX Imaging Coterie.  “Now, in his role of director of digital sales, Mark’s experience and fresh, innovative MO = 'modus operandi' to developing partnerships will help grow our business across all channels,” added Bunnell.

Pentax Kx review Expert Reviews

The K-x is present in red, blue and white, but in its more conservative black finish we'd struggle to distinguish it from the cheaper K-m.

The layout of their controls is almost alike, as are the run-of-the-mill 2.7in, 230,000-pixel screens. The use of four AA batteries makes it easy to stock up on replacements, but they're heavier and clumsier to assault than a Li-ion battery.

The benefits of the K-x over the K-m become apparent once the camera is switched on. Continuous shooting at 4.1fps makes this the fastest camera we've seen for around £600. It slowed after 31 shots for JPEGs and six shots in RAW fashion, but still kept up an impressive 2fps in RAW mode when using a fast SDHC card. It's responsive in general use, too. Most key settings are amenable to access, with buttons for ISO speed, white balance, drive mode and focus point. However, the viewfinder provides no omen of which focus point is selected, making the automatic selection modes pretty much useless.

Mom's Tip: Holiday shutterbug Boston Globe

The strongest memories I have are of a ambulate around the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. I lived only 4 blocks away. I felt like an artist and enjoyed exploring all the settings and details of my new camera. I took four rolls of fade away in that afternoon. When I picked the film up a few days later, I was devastated that they were all out of focus. I couldn’t understand what had happened.

I contemplating I understood how to adjust the aperture, counter-act the light speed and manually focus. It was only a few days later that my parents and I discovered I exceptionally needed glasses. The next week, glasses on, when I shot a roll of film, all the pictures were in focus.

Over the years I’ve played with the camera, alluring it with me for college overseas programs, camping trips, family reunions and friend’s weddings. Then, I put it down a few years ago and made the modification to a digital point-and-shoot pocket sized camera.

I quickly became addicted to the immediate gratification of seeing the pictures I took. It became unceremonious to carry the camera to the museum and the playground to take photos of our kids and I never really looked back, until now.

Just posted! Pentax 15mm F4 Limited lens review

Very recently posted! Our lens review of the Pentax smc DA 15mm F4 ED AL Limited. Following our recent tests featuring many of the wideangle zooms currently on the market-place, we turn our attention to Pentax’s latest design: a compact wideangle prime for APS-C DSLRs. As a associate of Pentax’s ‘Limited’ range, it has the undeniable attraction of finely-engineered aluminium construction, but does the prominence of the optics match the build?
